STEWARDWOMEN has a governing council consisting of representatives of key stakeholders- with 60% of the members being women. The governing council holds annual meeting during which it approves organization plans and policies. We have the board of directors that consist of 9 members, with 70% being women. The current board consists of two foundation members and seven elected members elected during the annual governance council meeting. The board of directors serve a maximum of two terms of three years each. The board of directors hold quarterly meetings to approve the quarterly plans and reports. Furthermore, the board of directors has sub-committees for finance/budget, procurement and discipline. At staffing level, we have a director responsible for the secretariat appointed by the board of directors responsible for oversight supported with the lead for finance and administration, programs, monitoring, learning and research. The respective leads are supported by officers and associates.

STEWARDWOMEN has a project coordination team consisting of the project leads that are responsible for drafting the quarterly work plans and budgets for approval by the board of directors during the quarterly meetings. There is a senior staff management committee that is responsible for approval of monthly plans and budgets and reports. We have staff procurement and disciplinary committees. We hold weekly staff planning meetings and monthly and annual general meetings to resolve pertinent organizational issues.

Our key policies include the Constitution of STEWARDWOMEN, the human resources manual, financial procedures manual, petty cash management policy, asset management policy, child safety policy, PSEA policy, code of conduct policy, MEAL policy, procurement manual, whistle blowers’ policy, anti-corruption policy, risk mitigation policy, medical insurance cover policy and Security policy.
